Ground meat added to a mirepoix of onions garlic and parsley and cooked with tomatoes and spices to create a thick sauce that can top pretty much anything, spaghetti,  hamburger buns, even in a cottage pie, anything you like

Ingredients

  • 3 Cloves Garlic, diced

  • ½ Onion, diced

  • 2 Tablespoons chopped Parsley

  • 1 Tablespoon Basil

  • 1 Tablespoon Oregano

  • Pepper to taste

  • Kosher salt

  • 1 Can Diced Tomatoes

  • 1 Can Tomato Sauce

  • Chicken Bouillon Cube

Directions

  • Preheat a pan, and add some oil, Add the onions and let them cook, Cover to let them soften, Then uncover to let them get some color, Now add the garlic, Mix well and let that get a little toasty, And finally add the parsley to round out the mirepoix, Heat it just enough to wilt, That’s just about enough time to stir everything, Then add the meat, Break it up as it cooks, no big lumps, Add the seasonings, continuing to mix and break up any lumps, Now for the diced tomatoes, And the tomato sauce, Mix everything together so the flavors can mingle, Cover and cook 5 mins or so, Finally, add the chicken bouillon cube, Mix well, lower the heat, and let simmer about ½ hr stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, Leaving the lid off and allowing it to simmer will let some of the liquid boil off and thicken a bit
